Kong Wubba review

Check out our review of the dog toy:  Kong Wubba

I absolutely LOVE this toy.  Ahsoka (just over one year old) is a very heavy chewer.  She still acts like a puppy, has energy like a puppy, and chews like a puppy.  It has been difficult for us to find a toy that holds up to her chewing habits.  The Kong Wubba is the best I have found so far.  The canvas material helps keep the toy sturdy.  The shape of the toy is great because it can be used for fetch and tug-of-war (which can be helpful in teaching a good fetch).  The squeaker in this toy is quite loud but helps keep your dogs attention.  I also like how you can squeeze the squeaker in, then it releases and makes noise as you throw it.  This is also helpful to keep a distracted puppy focused on the game at hand.  Overall I give the Kong Wubba 5 out of 5 STARS.  This is definitely one I would recommend you try, especially for heavy chewers.  Let us know what types of results you have.

Kong Champz review

Check out our video review of the dog toy, Kong Champz.

Overall I did really like this toy.  I think this would be a great toy for a dog who is a regular chewer.  Ahsoka (who's now just over 1 year old) is a very heavy chewer.  She's still a puppy and has a LOT of energy.  When new toys come into our house, they generally don't last very long in her mouth.  I think this toy actually held up fairly well for a heavy chewer.  The stuffing came out in about 1-2 weeks but the canvas outside seems to hold up well.  You could easily even re-stuff and re-sew the toy back together if you wanted.  Ours are currently husks, but she does still play with them sometimes.

Kong Dotz Review

Check out our review of the Kong Dotz dog toy.

Chew toys are important for any day, but especially if you have a dog that is a heavy chewer.  Our puppy, Ahsoka, is a very heavy chewer.  She loves her toys, loves to play, and loves to chew.  Its important to try different chews with different materials and different textures for your dog.  Just because one dog loves a certain chew toy, doesn't necessarily mean that your dog will love that same toy.
Although I do like many Kong toys, unfortunately the Kong Dotz is not one of them.  This is as product I can not recommend.  I thought at first that this toy would hold up to heavy chewing, it does not.  Plus, once your dog really gets into chewing this toy, it starts coming apart in very small pieces.  This is not a good thing as these pieces may be swallowed by your dog.  I did find a few pieces of the Kong Dotz in Ahsoka's poop.  This is really bad.  The plastic this toy is made of is definitely NOT something we want passing through our dog's body.  If the piece is large enough, it may get stuck and become an obstruction requiring surgery for your dog.  Obviously this is not something any of us want.  Therefore I must give the Kong Dotz toy a 1 our of 5 STARS.  I do not recommend this product for your dog.

Kong Phatz Toy Review

Check out our video review of the hippo toy, Kong Phatz.

This toy is definitely NOT for heavy chewers!  Our puppy Ahsoka just turned one year old. She has always been a heavy chewer and tends to destroy toys pretty quickly.  Because of this, we did some research and purchased some new toys that are supposed to hold up to heavy chewing.  This toy definitely does not hold up.  Ahsoka completely destroyed this toy in about 2 weeks.  I would not recommend this toy.

The Flirt Pole

If you have a dog that enjoys chasing things or running, one of the best toys you could get him/ her is a Flirt Pole.
A Flirt Pole is basically a long stick with a string attached at the end of the stick, and a toy attached to the end of the string.  There are many you can buy online, but I recommend going to your local hardware store and making your own.  Be sure to put the toy away when you are not using it WITH your dog.  (Or remove the toy at the end and put the rest of it away.)
